Win a FlashForward T-Shirt, Poster or Books!

To celebrate the debut of FlashForward tomorrow night on ABC, I have a few items to give away! Up for grabs: two copies of Robert J. Sawyer's book, as well as a FlashForward poster and FlashForward t-shirt from Comic-Con 09.

To enter, simply leave a comment (with your name and email address) either about your expectations/predictions for the series or your reaction to the pilot episode after it airs. The only requirement for entry is that you must live in the U.S. This contest is open until Sunday, September 27.

Good luck, and enjoy the show!

I'm really looking forward to Flashforward and hoping it might be the show to help fill the LOST void. I'm especially interested in Sonya Walger and Dom Monaghan. I can't wait to check it out!

I think you can get my email through this blogger account.

I'm excited for FlashForward, because it looks like an absolutely brilliant piece of television. The pilot was amazing, and if the rest of the show is in any way as good, then it should be THE show to watch this year.

It's not wise to put too much expectations on a TV show, but from what I saw at Comic Con, I am truly excited that Flash Forward will have a great story to tell. Nothing can replace was I have experienced with Lost, but, hopefully, Flash Forward will keep me interested and have a worthy mythology revealed as the seasons go by.

(BTW: Jo, I already have read the book and I already have a t-shirt from Comic Con!)

Ah I am so excited for tomorrow you don't even know. My two favorite shows of all time are Lost and Heroes and both of them I came into late in the game, I just decided to watch early this year. So I am very pleased that a show that may become one of my new favorites is on so I can watch it from the beginning. The trailer looked great and I personally can't wait for the show to start!

Having read the book (no spoilers, I promise), it will be interesting to see how they adapt it for the television format.

Clearly from some of the promos they've made some big changes in what causes the FlashForward.

I was planning on reading the book before the show started, but I'm thinking that's not going to happen. I am, however, intrigued by the concept and looking forward to how they will handle it over a whole series.

I am looking forward {No pun intended} to this new adventure. This genre is right up my alley and of course I always welcome another puzzle to work on.
I’m sure we’ll see connections to LOST, as I’ve already noticed a bunch of things from the sneak peeks we’ve gotten. I will spend the first episode wondering if there really are connections or just a ploy to recruit the LOST community over to it. Lol.
Either way, the show looks very exciting and puzzling and that’s enough to keep my brain exercising! I can’t forget to mention the ARG associated with this new show. I really like the concept of their ARG.
AND… I can’t wait to see some familiar loveable faces on FlashForward!!!
Enjoy the show. I’m looking forward to your take on it.
Rock on with your bad self!!

This looks to be one of the most promising shows of the season, just based on its premise alone. However, I know that this type of show generally does not last that long on network TV. I really hope it breaks the mold, like LOST did, and does very well in the ratings. It is certainly a top contender to fill the void left by LOST when it ends.

I am excited to see something new. I know that some people are comparing it to LOST, but I think that everything deserves a clean slate. [Taking that idea from LOST :)] Right now it's a show that everyone's talking about, so I am hoping that it meets everyone's expectations.

By the way, I tried to comment earlier and my comment did not go through. It said that something was wrong, so I am hoping this one goes through.

It really makes me worried how people are comparing it to Lost. I agree with the above poster: give it a clean slate. Of course, they don't make it easy hiring Sonya Walger and Dominic Monaghan and including an easter egg in the pilot (not telling!).

I read the book and even though some of the stakes are different in the TV show and the characters are different, the questions are all the same. If everyone in the world saw a glimpse of the future, how would it affect our planet? Can we change the future or is it set in stone? In the book, these arguments go back and forth until the end. I really wonder how they will end the season, knowing how the book ends.

Looking forward to your weekly musings, Jo!

OMG. I just woke up on the floor of my office. I don't know what happened. One minute I was reading an excellent JOpinionated blog post and the next I was on the floor confused.

But it's weird. I remember seeing something that almost seemed like a dream... it was a blur, but I believe I saw a man... a man that looked like me but wasnt me... i saw a shiny glove... i was running... but it was in a different city... there was music playing... and... and... thats all I remember.

Wow!!

Did everyone catch the Oceanic Airline ad billboard at the beginning of the show.

I liked it, will continue watching. "Penny" did a great job, and can't wait until next week. Will definitely watch the replay tomorrow night
Sure could use a t-shirt!!

I loved FlashFoward! It is now my new Lost. I know every one caught the Oceanic Airlines billboard but also during that same scene, the back of the newspaper says something about "timeles". I think there are going to be numerous Easter eggs through out the show. Jo keep doing what you do. You are awesome!

I blacked out and saw a vision of the future.

It was Thursday, April 29, 2010. I was still mulling over the previous night's episode of LOST. Even though the show is about to end, I still have no idea what's going on.

Some prophecy, eh?

Besides the Oceanic billboard, who else noticed (in Fiennes' characters flash) both a Swan and a Hydra? And all I could think of when I saw the kangaroo was "polar bear."

pgtbeauregard said...

When I saw the kangaroo, I immediately thought of Hurley saying "Australia is the key to the whole game"

Lot's of Lost tie-ins.

This will be fun to figure out!!

I thought the pilot was decent, up until the point where they showed the guy walking around at the Tigers game. That sealed the deal for me. Watching this series the whole way through! Can't wait for next Thursday.

LOL I love Brian's FF! And somehow I have a feeling it will be pretty accurate!

I was a little worried because they hyped it so much after Comic Con. I felt a little like there wasn't too much surprise in it because I had already seen so much of it through CC and previews. But I watched it a second time, and really enjoyed it. I'm excited about next week! And am looking forward to seeing Jack Davenport and Dom Monaghan make their appearances.
